Adult Speech Therapy

Speech and Language

Speech and Language

Speech and Language

Adult speech and language therapy is tailored to address a wide range of communication difficulties that may result from neurological conditions, brain injuries, or developmental disorders. One common example is aphasia—a language disorder often caused by stroke or brain injury—which can affect a person’s ability to speak, understand, read, or write. Therapy focuses on improving communication skills, increasing independence, and helping individuals express themselves more clearly and confidently in everyday situations. As a speech-language pathologist, I provide personalized assessment and treatment to help adults rebuild communication skills and fully engage in daily life.

Cognition

Cognitive-communication therapy supports individuals who experience difficulties with thinking and communication skills due to brain injury, neurological conditions, or other cognitive impairments. Areas addressed often include memory, attention, problem solving, and reasoning. The goal is to help individuals manage cognitive challenges and improve daily functioning across social, professional, and personal settings. As a speech-language pathologist, I provide individualized therapy to support cognitive-communication skills and help clients regain confidence and independence in everyday life.

Voice

Voice therapy is designed for individuals experiencing voice disorders caused by medical conditions, neurological issues, or age-related changes. Therapy focuses on improving vocal quality, resonance, pitch, volume, and teaching effective voice care techniques. The goal is to help individuals use their voices comfortably and confidently in daily communication. As a speech-language pathologist, I provide personalized evaluation and therapy to restore and enhance vocal function, supporting clear and healthy voice use.
